Spellweaver Poll

Looks like we were not alone in decrying the new changes to the Spellweaver class in Drakensang-Online. A bunch of folks in the forums were also unhappy with Release 051.

    1. I feel for the Spellweavers who spent time and Andermants to boost up their Mana levels only to have it capped. Actually, I find it deplorable considering these people paid good money (since you pay real money for Andermants) to beef up their Spellweavers and now all of it has gone to waste.

With any luck, the developers can still salvage this debacle and return the Spellweaver class to their original state and rethink some other way to rebalance the character.

  2. I hope they're reading this blog. I mean... we want to enjoy the game because it's a great game. We want to continue enjoying it. Their developments of the game may be well meaning, but once in a while they really miss the mark. This one looks like a true debacle, much more than the what happened to the Dragon Knights. I really hope they listen to the players, because really I myself is just a few nudges away from dropping it altogether.

  3. Well, one of us is reading the blog, and yes, I am very dissapointed. There was once that as a Spwllweaver, I was a protector of the less fortunate, now, I am the one being protected, by a Ranger of all things. Yes, my playing buddy is a ranger, and he has to protect my sorry ass whisly I dance around between shots allowing my Mana to recover.

Prior to 'D-Day', I was spamming fire balls and chain lightning and obliterating everything in my path, and at that time I think I was only lvl 25.

I accept some changes across the board, like the Talent Tree, although on the grand scheme of things; why bother? But my now geriatric Spellweaver gasps at any attempt to tackle much more than the critters around Kinghill.

One claim made about the crippling of Spellweavers, was that they are too powerful in PvP. Fair enough, so they may be, but not everyone, including me, plays PvP, so why should everyone suffer?? As mage class, we are essentially physically challenged, in that we have poor armour, and defences, and it is for this reason that we need and love our firepower. I play a Sorc in Diablo (2), and yup, she is weak, little armour ec, but her speed and firepower make up for this eakness. My question is why can't the DSO Devs make the Spwllweaver the same way. Oh wait, they did, thats right, then crippled them!!

OK guys, had my say, my moan, my whinge, I will now step away from my high horse, and give someone else a go. Besides its a long way up there, and scary being just a meagre Spellweaver!! :)

    1. Gahd, how do you survive battles these days?

I imagine you can't go out questing all alone and need to party up or have you discovered some new kung-fu to beat those monsters' sorry asses? :)
